A LOVEtheLOU Healing Gallery
Brick by Brick is an Imago Dei Prayer Space—a contemplative prayer experience and interactive art exhibition created to foster understanding, reflection, and healing. Through a powerful blend of St. Louis history, prayer stations, Scripture, and creative expression, the exhibit invites visitors to engage with both the pain and resilience of our community.
Developed by LOVEtheLOU in partnership with artist Amber Majors, Brick by Brick was designed to bring comfort, understanding, and hope to North St. Louis residents impacted by the devastating 2025 tornado. The exhibit opened to the public on May 16, 2026.
The experience unfolds across five distinct sections, guiding visitors through the complex and often difficult history of St. Louis—including moments of tragedy, injustice, and loss. Along the way, guests are invited to pause, pray, create, and reflect. The journey culminates in a space dedicated to healing, resilience, and hope, encouraging visitors to envision a restored and thriving future.
More than an exhibition, Brick by Brick is an invitation to process, connect, and heal together. We believe this gallery offers a meaningful opportunity for personal reflection, deeper understanding, and collective restoration.
